After School Care

We asked Moms:
How do you care for your children when school lets out for the day?

Some mothers started an after school Latchkey program for K-6.
It is at the school, and is totally funded with fees. The fee is $6.00 per
day. the children must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. It is run by a director
licensed day care administrator.

i just have a question? I am a mom of 3, and i am a hairdresser for a company that is open 7 days a week. They requiere me to work on weekends and i am trying to ask them to give me mothers hours Monday throu Friday no weekends but they refuse what can i say to them or what are my rights.

I take my lunch hour at 3:00 to 4:00 pm so that I may pick up my 3 children from school, ages 7, 10 & 13, drop them off at home and come back to work. I work until 5:30 and get home about 5:45. I am 10 minutes away. Let me tell you I get a lot of calls from my 7 year old because the 13 year old is picking on her. It is very stressful but I cannot afford to pay someone to look after them.
