Home for the Holidays"Well, there's no place like home for the holidays" ... It's a time of year filled with special memories, traditions and precious time spent together with family and friends. There's something magical about the special gifts and pictures made by a child, displayed in windows, on trees, or proudly wrapped by those little hands. And there's no substitute for that feeling a child gets seeing their artwork and crafts proudly displayed by the recipients of those carefully crafted items. In our family, we spend a whole weekend just baking dozens of dozens of cookies, then packaging them up to give to neighbors, family, friends, coworkers, teachers, etc. It's our way of sharing the holiday spirit with a personal touch. Below you'll also find ornament recipes, garland ideas, poems, and ideas for gifts that are easy and inexpensive. Most of these are items that can be completed in an hour or two, don't require a whole lot of ingredients, and fit right in to a single mom budget and schedule without too much strain. There's a lot of hype about quality vs. quantity time. But during the holidays, there's no substitute for spending time together, creating memories and traditions, that will carry on through the years and generations. We hope we can play just a small part in that by providing you with some ideas and suggestions for those special moments together. If you've got an idea you'd like to share, please e-mail us!
