Ranch Beans

You can buy this wonderful cookbook

Plan on this dish for your summer barbecues. It's so easy and so good!

1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 can (16 oz.) vegetarian baked beans
1 can (15 oz.) red kidney beans, drained
2 Tbl. catsup
2 Tbl. molasses
1 Tbl. Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp. dried onion

Stovetop Method: Place all ingredients in saucepan and heat thoroughly (about 10 minutes).

Microwave Method: Place all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Cover with wax paper, cook on high for 5 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.

Yield: about 3 cups (6 servings)
One serving: 1/2 cup
Per serving: 150 calories, 31 grams carbohydrate, 7 grams protein, 1 gram fat
Exchanges: 2 starch
