Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
submitted by August 1997 Mom's List

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oats
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts -- (I use walnuts)

Boil sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt for 1 min. Remove from heat andadd remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet or waxedpaper. Chill at least 1 hour. Store in refrigerator. Makes 3 dozen.

NOTES: BTW, if you eat 4 batches of this in a row, it'll keep you *very* regular!:)
