New Resource for Women in Technology

WorldWit, an information resource and launch pad for creating new online communities, was recently launched by World Women in Technology.

The site simplifies cross-pollination of ideas and resources among Women in Technology across the nation and around the globe. One of its primary goals is to fortify the networks that enable women to get funding for their businesses and move organizational leadership to the next level of diversity with more women at the helm. Another goal is to provide career advice to women looking to explore their options, such as independent consulting vs. employment.

"Email is the killer app for the internet, and women are realizing how powerful a tool email networking through the WorldWit lists can be," said Liz Ryan, founder of WorldWIT , ChicWIT (Chicago Women in Technology), the originating WIT list, and the 28 other WIT lists that have sprung up in the last year. "Our new site is very friendly and very community oriented. It really enhances and complements the lists."
