This week's question:

Do you have information about how mothers feel
about on-site day care? I would like to know if
it makes a difference in the job offer they
accept, whether they feel they are more
productive, whether companies feel it is worth
their investment.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I think on-site day care in an office environemnt could be good only if the environment is a healthy, pleasant one and not just a designated left over office space. The actual day care centre is more important than the proximity to the mother - it can be quite distressing for older toddlers to see their Mums pop in now and then and then disappear again, leaving them in a not-so-wonderful-environment.
I think that working Mums are more efficient with their worrk if they just get on with the days work without trying to juggle children at work AS well.
