Advertising on Working Moms Refuge

How does a banner ad work?

You supply us with your Web site address and a banner graphic that will be included in our banner rotation. This banner will appear at the top or bottom of many or all of the Working Moms Refuge pages.

You will receive a password and access to your personal banner statistics page that will allow you to instantly track how many exposures your ad and links have received and how many people have actually clicked on them to visit your site. See a sample statistics page to the right.

At the end of your agreement, your banner will stop appearing in the rotation. At that time, you must decide whether to renew your agreement.

Banner specifications

GIF or JPEG format.

Two sizes 230 pixels wide by 60 pixels high or 468 X 60 (IAB standard).

Banners should be under 12Kb.

Animated banners are allowed.

Multiple banners are allowed for diversity in your campaign. Each banner will be assigned a portion of your exposure.

Banner creation

The cost of creating a banner ad is, for the most part, a process of the time it takes to envision, design and create the ad. An animated banner with graphic elements costs more than a 100% static banner.

230 X 60 banner

Static banner — $300

Animated banner — $400

468 X 60 banner

Static banner — $350

Animated banner — $500

Banner rates

Entire Working Moms Refuge Web site, including the home page — $1,000 per month.

Working Moms Refuge home page only — $750 per month.

Entire Working Moms Refuge Web site, excluding the home page — $500 per month.

Newsletter Sponsorship

Moms Refuge currently distributes Moms Sanity Check to more than 2000 subscribers. A sponsor's ad is included at the top of each weekly newsletter. Here is an example:

General policy

Moms Refuge reserves the right to decline any banner advertisement, either paid or free, which conflicts with international laws or is deemed inappropriate for any reason by Moms Refuge.

Advertisers assume full responsibility for ensuring that their banners, graphic representations and/or text do not infringe in any way with established trademarks and/or copyrights.

Banner exposure rates will fluctuate depending on visitor rate and number of ads in rotation at any given time. An estimate of your exposure will be provided when your ad is being set up.

Moms Refuge reserves the right to modify or change these Terms and Conditions as it deems necessary.
